Ultrasonic NDT Inspection is a technique which will determine internal flaws by sending short wavelength sound waves of high frequency through components.
The sound travels through the material and reflections or echoes occur from the back wall/surface.
Any internal discontinuities will reflect the sound, generating a signal identified on the monitor.
Ultrasonic NDT may be performed in house or on site using the latest portable, fully calibrated flaw detectors.
The advantages of Ultrasonic Flaw Detection are quantative and easy recognition of surface or near surface flaws.
